GuideStar International (GSI), a UK-registered charity, illuminates the work of the world’s non-profit organizations through online repositories of reports about organizations in each country. Schmidt founded GuideStar in the US (www.guidestar.org) in 1994 and led it for 8 years and then moved on to create GuideStar UK in 2003. Schmidt is a graduate of Princeton and Stanford’s Graduate Schools of Business and Education.
