Central Government

While the Office of the Third Sector has primary responsibility, almost all central government departments now engage with the Third Sector through policymaking and funding programmes. Effective engagement requires access to comprehensive information and understanding of the Third Sector. This is especially important for central government departments that are developing or implementing Third Sector strategies or for those evaluating the efficacy of policies and the value for money of government expenditure.
