Company History

GuideStar Data Services CIC was formed after the merger of two UK charities, GuideStar International and GuideStar UK. The latter built the free website www.guidestar.org.uk with a £2.8 million grant of Treasury funding, supported by further philanthropic investment.

GuideStar Data Services is wholly owned by the Directory of Social Change and all profits go toward furthering the charitable goals of increasing transparency and confidence in the Third Sector.
