Local Infrastructure
The Third Sector has a well developed network of infrastructure organisations that support the work of frontline organisations delivering services to and representing the interests of communities. Local infrastructure organisations represent the interests of Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) and communities through their engagement with local government agencies. Local infrastructure organisations (LIO) provide a wide range of advice and support services. They are often the repository for local knowledge and play an essential role in the distribution of funding. Regional infrastructure organisations therefore need access to robust and comprehensive intelligence on TSOs in their region.
