These databases, derived from both public and private sources, contain extensive high quality information that not only has historical depth, but also significant breadth across various types of data.

GuideStar UK has developed a secure online resource allowing representatives of registered charities to supplement captured data from their annual report with an updated version of this information.  The data provided is reflected on the charity's entry immediately and there is a vast amount of non Trustee Annual Report (TAR) related data that the charity can provide.  This is all with the aim of allowing the charity to represent themselves in more detail.

The Charity Commission for England and Wales is established by law as the regulator and registrar of charities in England and Wales. Their aim is to provide the best possible regulation of these charities in order to increase charities’ efficiency and effectiveness and public confidence and trust in them. Charities with yearly incomes over £10,000 must by law send the Charity Commission their accounts and report every year within 10 months of the end of their year-end.
