The GuideStar Family

GuideStar International (GSI), a UK-registered charity, works with charity leaders worldwide to develop GuideStar services for their own countries. GSI supports this growing network through the provision of a shared Common Technology Platform as well as advice and support in each country’s development process. GSI is led by Buzz Schmidt the founder of the original GuideStar service in the US in 1994 and GuideStar UK in 2003. www.guidestarinternational.org

GuideStar UK (GSUK) delivers and develops the free to the public website: www.guidestar.org.uk. It is wholly powered by data developed and provided by GuideStar Data Services. Its goal is to further transparency and confidence in British charities and to provide a valuable resource for the charities themselves. GuideStar UK and GuideStar Data Services are owned by the Directory of Social Change.
